The lil Cylcones traveled to Mason City for their last regular season game on Friday night. Mason City came out pretty strong, and the girls trailed and were tied several times during the first half. The second half went a little better, and we ended up with a good 11 point win.
It was a very strong game for Kionna, who ended up with 25 points (was 10-12 FG shooting - 83%), 12 rebounds, 6 steals and 7 blocks. She stepped up in a game where some of the other girls struggled a bit to find their shot.
Hopefully, the team can really come together and lay it all on the line for the first round regional pairing game on Saturday night at 7 pm in Ames against the winner of Cedar Falls or Waterloo West (they play Wed. night at Waterloo West).
