A little delayed in my posting, but the AHS girls won their game against Waterloo West on Saturday night at Ames. It was an interesting game, as it seemed they were self-sabotaging with their horrible passes. I think we had to have turned it over on unforced bad passes about 6 times... maybe more? But we kept pulling everything together and the girls got their win.
Kionna once again made it difficult as we were up about 10-12 pts when she got her second foul with more than 5 minutes to play in the second quarter. They came back and tied it up, and we had to work extra hard to regain the lead and the win. But overall, she played well with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and I am just guessing - but I think she had at least 3 steals and 2 blocks to go along with it. This would be her 11th or 12th double-double of the season.

They are in the Region Final game TONIGHT vs Johnston at Saydel HS at 7 pm. Hopefully only good news to report after this game!!!!!
