Summer 2009

So, the high school season is officially over, and the summer AAU circuit (or circus?) begins!

Kionna has made the IBCA Select Red team again - and it will be a much different team this summer than last, but still very good and a lot of fun. They have had their first practice, and will be playing in the 16U/Jr Eligible state tournament in Des Moines the last weekend of March.

Joining her there will be Shaya and her 8th grade team. Shaya is continuing to play with her All Iowa Attack team - who have come a long way in the past year or so, and are really going to be good when it is all said and done. The team is not a select team - but in many ways it is starting to look like one. One of the best aspects of this team for her is that she is allowed to handle the ball (bring it up the floor, take it to the bucket when she's open, find her shot). There is another very good post on her team and together, they make quite a pair.
