Recap of last 5 games

So, it's been awhile again since I posted. I have 5 games to get caught up on.

Ames is currently 5-3. All of the games that were losses could have been wins, so it is more a matter of the team not playing well than not being capable of winning.

Anyway, they played Waukee on December 11 and were winning in the first quarter, and then lost it and at one point were down by 19, but came back to lose by 4. They had some great opportunities, and then some massive mistakes.

They met Fort Dodge at home on December 18 and played poorly but won.

They traveled to Johnston on January 2 and lost a game that they should have won, and lost it by a significant amount. The team did not play well together at all.

The team then went to Valley on January 5, and this was the first game that they played and won like a team. Finally, they started working together. It was a relief.

The last game the girls played was at Ankeny, where they again had a great lead (maybe 10-15 going into the third quarter), and they could not sustain and ended up losing. They played a very good 2.5 quarters, but will need to get their act together for an entire game to win against the better teams this season.
