April - Spring AAU

Two spring tourneys down, and 2 more to go.

The Iowa 11th Grade AAU Tourney was not much to watch. The team won, facing their sophomore AIA team in the championship.

This past weekend, the AIA was in Bloomington, MN for the Metro Black Invite. They won their first two games and lost the championship by 2 points to a good metro black team. The team had some unfortunate turnovers, but played well. It was a great warm-up tournament prior to traveling to Virgina.

Next up for the team is Boo Williams in Virginia. They will play in this open period tournament from Friday through Sunday, April 20-22, and are looking forward to getting their competitive AAU season going.

After that, they have almost a month off, and then travel to Wisconsin for the Team WI Invite from May 25-27.

Then their summer picks up, starting on June 9-10 with the Midwest Girls Classic in Ames, followed by the Summer Jam from June 16-17 in Minneapolis.

July brings another Ames tourney - Simply The Best - from July 6-8, followed by the AAU Gold Super Showcase in Orlando from July 9-11. From Florida, they travel to Chicago for the NIKE Summer Showcase on July 12-15. Then back to Minneapolis from July 22-24 for the Summer Meltdown Tourney. Finally, they move on to North Augusta, SC for the NIKE Nationals to close their summer, from July 28-31.

The next three months provide a great way to close out an amazing 7 years with some terrific AIA friends and families.
