July 2012!

Made it through Spring AAU ball, and the first part of the evaluation period. AIA just finished out a great period of play that started on July 6 in Ames, took them to Orlando, FL for 3 days of play, and they then closed it out in the Chicago area from the 13th through the 15th.

Minus the travel days, that was 14 games in 8 days. Whew.

The team had some really good days (beating the North Tartan Elite team to start the period was pretty terrific), and some games where they could have played much better. Overall though, it was a good period of play.

Shaya played strong throughout the period, and will enjoy some time off now (though still practicing with AIA and attending a school ball event with her HS team).

There is still the Minneapolis area tournament this weekend, a day in Kansas City next week at the Battle on the Plains, and a trip to Nike Nationals to close out the summer.

At this point, she has had offers from Iowa State, Iowa, Missouri State, UW-Green Bay (prior to Bollant going to IL), K-State, and Oklahoma State. She is also looking closely at Oklahoma and Nebraska.
