Well, it has been awhile, what with injuries and recovery being a more pressing goal. But glad to be back blogging Kellogg GBB.
This past weekend was the official start of the spring/summer AAU season for the All Iowa Attack 15U girls. Shaya and her teammates flew out to the Nike Boo Williams tournament in Hampton, VA.
Tournament play started on Thursday, and the team, playing in the Pacific 15U Division, won their pool play, defeating the Georgia Metros, Michigan Crossover, and Philly Belles - Nike.
In the Semi-finals, they beat the West Coast Premier (CA), 61-43. Ironically, in the finals, the girls would meet the MN North Tartan team, one of their regional rivals.
The team played well, and Shaya played strong - moving easily. The team beat the North Tartan, 54-49, bringing a Boo Williams Championship title back to Iowa.
